SchoolAppeal.ie is an AI-assisted tool that helps parents in Ireland draft a letter appealing a school admission refusal. This policy says what the tool must not be used for, and how we enforce it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. What you must not use the service for
False statements. Letters that state facts you know are untrue, for example inventing a refusal, a date, a sibling, an address or a school policy, or claiming something happened that did not.
Abuse and harassment. Threats, harassment, intimidation, discrimination or defamatory language aimed at a school, its staff, the Department of Education or anyone else, in what you type or in the document.
Forged or misleading documents. Forged signatures or dates, impersonating another person, or writing about a child you are not the parent or guardian of or are not authorised to act for.
Unrelated use. Anything that is not a genuine appeal about a child's school admission in Ireland.
Abusing the service. Automated bulk use, probing the site for weaknesses, or trying to get round the checks described below.
2. Sexually explicit and NSFW content
Because the tool involves a child's details, sexually explicit content and other not-safe-for-work (NSFW) content is not allowed anywhere: not in any field you fill in (names, addresses, reasons, additional details) and not in a generated document.
3. How this is enforced
Before anything is generated or paid for, the text you type is checked automatically for sexually explicit content. If a check fails, we refuse to create the document and you are not charged. You are told why and can remove the text and try again.
After generation, the document text is checked again before it is shown to you or emailed. If it fails, no document is delivered and any payment is refunded in full.
People review complaints. If you think something has slipped through, or you want to report misuse, email hello@schoolappeal.ie. We read every message and reply within one business day.
We keep very little. A generated letter is shown to you on screen and emailed to you once. Our Privacy Policy says exactly what is kept and for how long, so save your PDF.
4. What we may do
If we reasonably believe this policy is being broken, we may refuse to generate a document, cancel a purchase and refund it, or block access to the service. Using the service in breach of this policy is at your own risk and responsibility.
5. Not legal advice
SchoolAppeal.ie is a drafting tool and not a law firm. If you are unsure about your situation, take independent legal advice. See our Terms of Service.
